November 22nd Alex Logan, Haydrian Vice-President of Latin America and the Caribbean was recently asked by the US Commercial Trade Office in Mexico to give a presentation to more than 80 Mexican importers and resellers. On Wednesday the 22nd of November, in Mexico City, at the American Business Information Center, he spoke on, “Enriching Relationships With US Exporters.” Mr. Logan said, “My presentation centered on the diversity of business cultures between the USA and Mexico and how to be more effective in negotiations with US counterparts.” The presentation was well-received and Logan has been asked to provide frequent presentations on this topic. It’s essential for companies in Mexico and other countries to understand how to interact and do business with the USA. Companies in the USA should also take initiatives to foster an improved cultural understanding in order to be successful in international negotiations. An awareness and appreciation for the diversity of business cultures significantly improves the negotiation process and leads to more substantive agreements with fewer bottlenecks in less time. Alex Logan drew on his bi-cultural background and his experience from over 15 years of leadership roles developing new markets and introducing new technologies to Latin America and the Caribbean with companies that include J.D. Edwards, Precise Software Solutions and Veritas Software. |
