We are a small, collaborative and resourceful dev. team, working together to build an enterprise level platform for detecting several important classes of financial crime, including terrorist financing and money laundering, fraud, graft and bribery. Many of these problems are challenging to solve and require a dedication to an in-depth understanding of the issues and significant creativity and sometimes non-traditional approaches. We are working smart, prioritizing up front design, to build products which are best in class and which will benefit many of the would be victims of such financial crimes. Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist senior team members in the design and development of complex schema and stored procedures for dynamic, scalable, architectural products
- As a thinker and a doer; you will use technology to solve real-world problems expediently
- Engage with QA to lay out procedures for how code will be tested
Experience:
- Experience as an Oracle dba or, jr. level software engineer with full life cycle development on a minimum of one project
- Proficient in SQL
- Multiple platforms: Unix/Linux, Windows
- Excellent problem-solving skills, a strong quantitative mindset, with some computational complexity
- Familiarity with Java and other programming languages a plus
- Database performance on 24x7 application a plus
- Understanding all layers of a multi-tiered architecture, able to work at all layers a plus
Experience building on an appliance, is helpful. A range of 1 to 5 years direct experience with Oracle as either a DBA or schema developer is required.
